Audacy Celebrates a Radio Brand’s Centennial In Kansas

There have been many celebrations for the 100th year of service for a radio station, from that of WWJ in Detroit and KDKA in Pittsburgh to KNX in Los Angeles. The centennial of GatesAir, an integral part of radio broadcasting history, was also recently recognized.

Now, Audacy Corp. is taking a moment to recognize the 100th birthday of a Kansas radio brand. Why “brand” and not “station”? It swapped frequencies with a sibling on August 30, 2004, and it is that station — not KFH — that’s technically entering its second century.
