Word that Germany had rejected a draft plan to stabilize Euro zone finances sent stock prices skidding. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 199 points, or 1.6%, to 11,998. Broadcasting stocks fell with the market.
The RBR Radio Index was down 10.598, or 3.4%, to 305.850.
The TVBR Television Index was down 5.325, or 2.3%, to 228.129.
