Bally Sports Heading To FuboTV

First, it was the regional sports network that’s home to the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets, as Altitude Sports in October secured a multi-year carriage agreement that will expand TV coverage of both teams on the nation’s main sports-first live TV streaming platform.

Now, the 19 Bally Sports RSNs will begin appearing “in the coming weeks” on FuboTV, the financially challenged operation with John Janedis as CFO that just suffered a cyberattack during a pivotal 2022 FIFA World Cup match.

A carriage agreement has been signed that will bring the Sinclair Broadcast Group-owned RSNs to FuboTV.

FuboTV says the arrangement means it will possess “the lowest-cost streaming option for the Bally Sports RSNs.”

The deal brings to 35 the number RSNs in FuboTV’s programming portfolio.

For the Diamond Sports Network, this means Bally Sports Arizona, Bally Sports Detroit, Bally Sports Florida, Bally Sports Great Lakes, Bally Sports Indiana, Bally Sports Kansas City, Bally Sports Midwest, Bally Sports New Orleans, Bally Sports North, Bally Sports Ohio, Bally Sports Oklahoma, Bally Sports San Diego, Bally Sports SoCal, Bally Sports South, Bally Sports Southeast, Bally Sports Southwest, Bally Sports Sun, Bally Sports West and Bally Sports Wisconsin will be made available via FuboTV on a geo-targeted basis.

It’s the latest content addition to FuboTV in recent weeks. As of Tuesday (12/19), FuboTV subscribers now have access to such Scripps digital multicast networks as ION, ION Mystery, ION Plus, Bounce, Grit, Newsy (which becomes Scripps News on January 1) and Court TV.

But, investors have been nonplussed over the announcements, with FUBO shares trading at just $2.1050 as of 1:47pm Eastern on Wednesday. With Tuesday’s Closing Bell, a fresh all-time low of $2.07 was seen for FuboTV; on August 16 shares were valued at $6.35, following a run-up from $2.51 per share.

Now, FuboTV hopes to repeat that feat, without another fall in share value following that gain.
