Barry Farber celebrates 50 years in radio

Barry Farber recently held his 50th anniversary broadcast from The Paley Center for Media in NYC. Farber launched his radio career in New York in 1960 and began hosting a national talk show on the ABC Radio Network in 1990.  The National Association of Radio Talk Show Hosts named Farber 1991’s “Talk Show Host of the Year”.  Farber was recently ranked number 12 on the “Heavy Hundred of All Time” list by Talkers magazine. An accomplished author and columnist, Farber is a student of 26 languages.


Curtis Sliwa, Alan Colmes, Joey Reynolds, Steve Madden, Joe Franklin, Lionel, Dick Morris (by phone), Steve Malzberg and many others gathered to help Barry celebrate. 

He’s now on CRN Digital Talk Radio, weekdays, and on the Talk Radio Network, hosting a one-hour weekend show and filling in for TRN’s weekday hosts, most commonly on The Laura Ingraham Show.
