Peak Broadcasting’s Boise on-air talent does it again for the community (adding to KeKe Luv’s mission for child abuse): WOW Country 104.3’s Dan Matthews has left the comfort of his warm home to live on the streets of Boise to help raise awareness of the plight of the area’s homeless population.

A local Walmart Supercenter will be Dan’s home for the week. Fiberpipe has donated their time and materials to the cause and has provided a 24-hour webcam and video blog for people to follow Dan’s adventure at http://www.wow1043.com.

Said Matthews: “During a season where so many Treasure Valley families have to do without, it’s important that we make our friends and neighbors aware of the issue. I’m excited to spend these 104 hours sharing the wonderful blessings of the Boise Rescue Mission. Our community is extremely generous and if I’m able to inspire that giving spirit, then we’re taking one step closer to providing hope to so many who have simply run out of it.” Dan took to the streets last night at midnight for 104-hours!

“The homeless population – especially women and children – has risen dramatically during these tough economic times” added WOW Country PD, Lisa Adams. “These people are our family, friends and neighbors! We want to help the Boise Rescue Mission in their quest to help so many during this time of great need.”
