BP advertising for the week ending July 12

Media Monitors, the leader in broadcast and cable monitoring, released once again the figures for advertising that BP has run on Radio, TV and Cable that they monitor since 4/20. They include the dollars spent (AdRev™) on radio for each week during the analysis.


Cable TV jumped ahead of all electronic media according to Media Monitors last week. BP ran 3,316 spots on Cable, up from 2,715 the week before. Radio was down from 2,608 to 2,529, as was TV slightly down from 2,321 to this week’s 2,284 ads.

According to Media Monitors’ AdRev the oil company has spent $937,996 on their radio campaign since the 4/20 platform failure. The 3 Media Total amounts to 41,131 spots run since 4/20 on Radio, TV and Cable from the stations Media Monitors tracks.
