Westwood One announced 2010 CMA Entertainer of the Year, Brad Paisley will sit in as co-host of CMT’s Country Countdown USA along side 2010 CMA National Personality of the Year, Lon Helton the weekend of 11/20-11/21. Both Helton and Paisley received their awards on 11/10 at the 44th Annual CMA Awards in Nashville.
“I’ve been listening to you a long time,” Brad Paisley said to Lon within hours of being named the 2010 CMA Entertainer of the Year. “I heard your first broadcast back in 1992, I was still living in West Virginia. So to hear you refer to me as Entertainer of the Year is pretty special,” continued Paisley as he sat down for his first full length interview with fellow 2010 CMA Award winner Lon Helton.
The interview will air as part of CMT’s Country Countdown USA. During the interview, Brad reveals numerous backstage stories in the moments leading up to receiving the trophy, such as what presenter Tim McGraw said to him before giving him the award. Brad also shares other stories from the TV show, which he co-hosted with Carrie Underwood.
