Carr Talk: FCC’s Third Circuit Response

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Yes, many in the Nation’s Capital are a bit groggy, punchy and celebratory this morning, as the Washington Nationals defeated the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the 2019 World Series just before Midnight.


That didn’t delay the start of the inaugural Access to Opportunity Conference, organized by the Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council (MMTC). Right on schedule, the daylong event at the offices of Hogan Levells kicked off with intriguing comments from FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr on what his agency is doing following the remand by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals of its media cross-ownership rules.
