Travel Channel announced a deal with rocker Bret Michaels as host of the new original series “Rock My RV”.  The eight half-hour series, premiering in 2013, will reveal Michaels’ incredible passion for mobile mansions.  “Rock My RV” has been greenlit to begin production in November.

Fans of Michaels know him as a long time RV devotee, and now Travel Channel is revealing for the first time just how deep his passion runs. Michaels, a hands-on enthusiast, leads a hand-picked team of skilled, custom RV designers and fabricators who transform travelers’ ordinary RVs into the most outrageous, badass, hooked-up mobile mansions on the road.

“For the past 25 years, Bret Michaels has spent at least nine months out of the year in a tour bus that he personally designs from top to bottom,” said Andy Singer, GM, Travel Channel. “We couldn’t think of a better front man than Bret for the series.  He lives and breathes life on the road and undoubtedly holds the record for most hours logged in a custom coach.  Bret jumped at the chance to share his passion for travel and the RV experience through this fascinating, obsessive world of customizing RVs. We wanted him, and he wanted to do this – it is a great partnership.”

“Between touring and traveling, I spend a lot of time on the road and my tricked-out, custom coach is my home away from home,” adds host Bret Michaels. “I crisscross the country and live in my tour bus, and I know how to take an RV from ordinary to extraordinary. I can’t wait to put my expertise to use and show people how to make their RVs rock.”

As a musician and TV star, Michaels knows a thing or two about life on the road, touring the world in his own custom coach – outfitted with a state-of-the-art Hi-Fi, Wi-Fi and custom gym, amongst other deluxe amenities.  Michaels spent his childhood taking road trips in his family’s Winnebago; and understands just what these vehicles mean to their owners.

“Rock My RV” with Bret Michaels is produced by BCII Productions for Travel Channel.

  1. We have a 1968 Dodge Travco Motor Home that I inherited from my parents. As a Bret Michaels fan I would love to have him Rock My RV!

  2. After losing our motor home to a 150 year old tree, we were forced to purchase a 1999 Seabreeze motorhome. I am a disabled vet and my wife and I are left after loosing our son to a hunting accedent in 2011, he was 15 at the time. There is a bunch of ideals we would have done and knowing what your able to do would be honored to have you trick our RV

  3. would be great to see my mom and dad’s motor home redone. I got it after my dad passed away. He was the master at keeping things running and useable and now it sits. Would be great to see my mom’s face with it all going again before she leaves us too as her health isn’t doing the greatest right now either.

  4. I’m so excited about the new show Rock my R.V. with Brett Micheals. My husband and I grew up in the 80’s listening to his music and still continue to do so. We also followed Brett by watching him on the Apprentice, And our heart and prayers went out to him while he was ill. This show will be the best for us because my husbands favorite thing is his R.v.and we just love Brett.
I would love to surprise my husband by getting him on Rock my R.V. It’s the least I could do for him as he always put’s others first. My huband Bill served in the Navy for 20 year’s and retired as a chief in communications. He loves our country was so proud to serve for it. Bill continues to work very hard he is a construction worker who works 6 day’s a week from early morning to late evening. The only time he gets to relax is in his R.V. He loves nothing more than camping and fishing. Bill just purchased a R.V. a couple of months ago that is totally gutted it is a 2006 jayco JayFeather 29 foot. Bill thinks he has time to restore this R.V. but i don’t think he realizes the time and the money it will take to get this r.v done right. We are a family of four and Bill is helping his daughter and stepdaughter through colleage. The time and the expense is just to much for Bill to finish and our four children and I would love to surprise Bill
so he can take time to just relax and enjoy life, Because God knows he deserves it. ThankYou Bill’s wife Penny
