Members of the Advanced Television Systems Committee Inc. (ATSC) elected four media and technology executives to serve on the ATSC Board of Directors for three-year terms that begin in January 2023.

She's been Local Sales Manager of The E.W. Scripps Co.'s flagship TV station for the past five years and before that was LSM of CBS affiliate WVLT-8 in Knoxville for nearly 8 1/2 years.  Now, she is accepting a role as the integrated sales manager for a group of Atlanta radio stations, owned by Cox Media Group.

In August 2022, the founder and CEO of Detroit-area headquartered Saga Communications unexpectedly passed away. Warren Lada stepped in as interim CEO, with Chris Forgy earning the chief executive title in November  Now, with Forgy as Saga's top leader, a member of the Christian family has been recognized for his efforts and has been promoted at the pure-play radio broadcasting company.

College students from universities throughout the country may apply to the various Radio Talent Institutes, which are designed to provide students with "a truly immersive experience and unmatched introduction to broadcast radio."

The key changes include a June 2023 switch of Cumulus Media President/CEO Mary Berner by Chief Technology Officer Conrad Trautmann, as Dean Littleton takes a TV Board seat following Brian Lawlor's naming as Scripps Sports President.

He's a member of the University of Notre Dame's Class of 1993 and is known as a highly regarded sports world leader who until now has served as Chairman of NBC Sports. As of July 1, Pete Bevacqua is heading back to South Bend, Ind.

With the recent naming of Patti Taylor as VP/Market Manager of Beasley Media Group's Detroit radio station, the need for a new Director of Sales opened up. We now know who is taking the role of Director of Sales for the group of stations comprised of six brands including Classic Rocker WCSX and Active Rocker WRIF.

He's been with Audacy Inc. for 18 months and led the execution of such initiatives as Hip Hop Made, I’m Listening, 1Thing and Launch. He also played a key part of the rollout of the company's partnerships with ReelWorld, United Stations and Live Nation. Now, this Audacy staffer has been given the role of Director/Programming.

In the roles of co-chairs for the 2024 Gracie Awards are Heather Cohen, Executive Vice President at The Weiss Agency; Annie Howell, Chief Communications Officer at Hallmark Media; and Mike McVay, President of McVay Media Consulting.

As such, CBS News and Stations is adding a "senior climate producer" to its team while shifting a CBS News team member to the climate beat.

Twenty-four names will be selected as nominees to be voted upon by industry personnel later this year, leading to the selection of the 2024 Radio Hall of Fame Induction Class. The induction will take place later this fall, with information on this year’s induction ceremony coming this spring.

The Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio Inc. non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of female leadership in radio broadcasting has a President-Elect, and she will begin her term on January 1, 2025.
