The Four Corners Region has long relied on broadcast signals from two Colorado cities and Farmington, N. Mex., and among the radio stations in these cities are nine properties. Pending FCC approval, they'll be former stations owned by American General Media. And, we know how much AGM is earning from the sale.

Word that Young Broadcasting was merging into Media General surfaced in June, and Bloomberg

In a transaction brokered by Kalil & Co., the NBC affiliate serving the Redwood Coast some 4 1/2 hours north of San Francisco is trading hands. The buyer owns the crosstown CBS affiliate, and that's now on the market.

Terry Crosby and Randy Nonberg have been actively seeking to build a new TV station serving Bay Area consumers. Now, the principals in Poquito Más Communications LLC are one step closer to making that happen on a much grander level. That's because an entity controlled by Nonberg and affiliated with Poquito Más has just captured a "zombie" station that's emerged from the FCC's Incentive Auction. The deal saw Kalil & Co. represent the seller and serve as escrow agent.

On February 13, RBR+TVBR's TRANSACTIONS TODAY reported on the acquisition of three full-power and two LPTV stations in Wyoming from Mark III Media. The purchase contract contains a requirement that Gray divest that station’s license to a third party promptly, and Gray said it would donate this station’s license to a non-profit entity. That's just happened, with the property going directly from Mark III to an institution of higher learning.

No, we're not talking about Spanish Broadcasting System's heritage regional Mexican station serving Southern California. Rather, we're referring to a pair of TV stations that are being acquired by an entity connected to the President of El Dorado Broadcasters in a deal brokered by Kalil & Co.

In October 2019, RBR+TVBR was first to report on the sale of a full-power digital TV station licensed to a small town in New York's Adirondack Mountains that is poised to become a Burlington, Vt.-Plattsburgh, N.Y. DMA sibling to a big CBS affiliate with reach into Montreal and much of Quebec. That deal has now closed.

A digital low-power TV station serving Florida's state capital and a sibling LPTV facility located in Auburn, Ala., are being spun. It's a Game Day decision. Really. That's the name of the seller in this transaction.

The Holladay family has become well-known for their ownership of radio properties across the Deep South. Now, Bryan Holladay is signing of on an acquisition. Pending FCC approval, it will see the transfer of control of three FMs to his Meridian Media Group.

The buyer is the licensee funded by the creator of the 5-Hour Energy beverage.

An ABC affiliate in Alabama was poised to enter a duopoly via a JSA with Raycom. Now, the station is going to an entity tied to Heartland Media.

A Class D AM in Rapid City, South Dakota, with an FM translator is being sold. At the same time, an unbuilt AM that is scheduled to get an FM translator through the FCC's just-completed Auction 99 is trading hands in Southern Utah. We've also got a price on a Big D TV deal that RBR+TVBR first reported Sept. 28.

A low-power TV station serving a market impacted by Hurricane Harvey in 2017 is trading hands. This facility is the subject of a March 2012 Order to Show Cause issued by the FCC, seeking answers as to why Class A authorization should not be modified to LPTV. That involved a previous owner. Now, the current owner has decided to part ways with the facility, and it's the lead deal up for discussion in RBR+TVBR's TRANSACTIONS TODAY for Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018.
