Veteran CBS Radio reporter Cami McCormick was wounded in Afghanistan when an improvised explosive device went off near a vehicle in which she was traveling with members of the US Army. According to reports, she was wounded in the leg, was initially treated in a field hospital and taken to Bagram Air Base for further treatment. McCormick has an extensive international resume and is a five-time Edward R. Murrow Award winner.
