WWCD-FM Columbus, OH reports that Program Director and afternoon drive DJ Andy Davis, known as “Andyman,” drown Saturday (7/17) while vacationing with his wife and three sons in Michigan. He had been with the station, locally owned by Fun With Radio LLC, since 1991.
Andyman joined the staff of the Alternative Rocker as a DJ just a few months after its launch. He became PD in 1998. He had been known in the market for his annual “Andyman-a-thon,” broadcasting for 48 hours straight to raise money for charity.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
