Cincinnati ménage-a-trois unravels

WCVG-AM, serving Cincinnati from across the river in Covington KY, has had three partial masters: one licensee and two program and advertising suppliers. But all that’s about to change. Brokerage firm John Pierce and Company handled arrangements.

The station is licensed to Davidson Media, headed by Felix Perez. And it was being programmed and sold by Davidson Media founder Peter Davidson and his separate Golden Door Broadcasting under an LMA. Then, a another company – TMH Media Group, headed by Tracie M. Hunter, came in and also rented some time and sold ads for the station in yet another LMA, essentially subletting time from Golden Door.

The Golden Door relationship ends by contract in the event that TMH buys the station, and that is exactly what is happening. TMH will pay Davidson Media $450K cash for it. It has already installed an Urban Gospel format, replacing a Hispanic format which the station used previously.
