Clear Channel Radio CEO John Hogan today (4/15) announced a new programming initiative which he says will make the company’s most popular programming available to Program Directors in all markets to use across various stations and platforms. The company insists that local PDs will have “total choice and flexibility” in choosing which elements to use from what’s being called the “Premium Choice” initiative. CC Radio is also launching new channels of genre-specific programming and expanding its opportunities for new artists.

Clear Channel also announced establishment of new “minimum level of service” for all of its communities. It deals with efforts in five areas: charitable partnerships, public service announcements (PSAs), local public-affairs programming, local advisory boards, and 24/7 access to station management for local officials.
