The agreement negotiated between NAB and SoundExchange is now published in the Federal Register, putting stations who wish to abide by those terms on deadline to make their intentions known. Stations have until 4/2/09 to accept the negotiated package, which is good through 2015. The applicable rates run from $0.0015 per streamed sound recording in 2009 to $0.0025 per stream by 2015. Stations not currently streaming may elect to use the negotiated agreement upon going online with an audio feed. Stations opting out of the program will be subject to existing rates.
