In July 2014, four months after a deal was struck, Westport, Conn.-based Connoisseur Media agreed to acquire five stations in its home state from Buckley Radio for exactly $7,922,035.
Now, the company led by Jeff Warshaw is selling four of those five stations, along with an FM translator in New Haven, and is making a very small profit on the divestment. In an exclusive interview, Warshaw tells RBR+TVBR why the deal was done.
