Continental Tire debuts new TV spot


Continental Tire, fresh off its debut as sponsor of the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, debuted a new television commercial during the broadcast of the GRAND-AM Fresh From Florida 200 Race 2/13 on the SPEED Channel.

“Our theme for this spot was to capture the essence of the personal relationship between you and your vehicle,” said Dana Zamalloa, manager of public relations and communications.  “The commercial focuses on the fact that your tires are the only thing that lie between you and the road, and the importance of having quality tires.  But at the same time, it also captures the notion of the pleasure of the driving experience that comes from quality, high-performance tires.”

The commercial is targeted at car enthusiasts with a passion for the open road, and their vehicle.  The spot was produced by Mad Media of Oceanside, CA, and the entire sequence was filmed in San Diego at various locations around the city and in surrounding areas.  It features voiceover by Chris Jacobs, television personality and former host of Overhaulin’.
