No, this is not an example of a snake biting its own tail – the trustee for three FMs in the Corpus Christi market is selling them to a buyer who is choosing to use a similar license name as the soon-to-be former owner.

The trustee for Convergent Broadcasting Corpus Christi LP is Michael Mahone.

The buyer is Daniel J. Duman, using licensee name Convergent Broadcasting II LLC.

The stations are:
* CHR KKPN-FM Rockport TX, a Class C2 on 102.3 MHz with 50 kW @ 446’
* AC KAJE-FM Ingleside TX, a Class C3 on 107.3 MHz with 14 kW @ 446’
* Classic Rock Gregory TX, a Class C3 on 104.5 MHz with 14 kW @ 446’

The price will be $2.3M. Details on the compensation package are pending, and will be filed as an amendment to the transaction application which is already in the hands of the FCC.

Duman has an interest in two Galaxy station license companies with holdings in the Syracuse and Utica NY markets.
