Welcome to what could be a not-so-pretty period for publicly broadcast media companies, as Urban One released its financial results for the three-month period ending June 30 on Thursday.

“It was a very tough quarter because of COVID,” President/CEO Alfred Liggins III said as he opened the company’s second quarter earnings call for investors and Wall Street analysts.

But, it could have been worse if not for two key factors.
