Dateline NBC second hour No. 1 w/ adults 25-54

At 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of “Minute To Win It” (1.2/4 in adults 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.  From its first half-hour to its second, “Minute To Win It” grew by 18 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.1) and by 14 percent in total viewers (4.6 million vs. 4.0 million). 


From 9-11 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” (1.7/5 in adults 18-49, 7.3 million viewers overall) reported its highest 18-49 rating for a Friday telecast since March 5, 2010 and biggest overall viewership for a Friday edition since March 12, 2010 (pending updates).  “Dateline” finished #1 in the two-hour time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 25-54, women 25-54 and women 18-49. 

From its first half-hour to its fourth, “Dateline” grew by 29 percent in adult 18-49 rating (to a 1.8 from a 1.4) and by 23 percent or 1.5 million persons in total viewers (to 7.7 million from 6.2 million).

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., “Dateline NBC” was #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults, men and women 18-49; adults, men and women 25-54; and total viewers.

In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, “Dateline NBC” delivered an 18 percent margin of victory in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 2.6 rating vs. a 2.2 for ABC’s second-place “20/20”).  In the 10:30 half-hour, “Dateline NBC” was also #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults, men and women 18-49, men and women 25-54 and total viewers.

For the night, NBC was #2 in adults 18-49 and total viewers and #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 25-54 (tie), women 25-54 and women 18-49.
