Deadline Arrives For ‘Rising Through The Ranks’ Applications

The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI), and the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio Group (MIW) will present the 11th annual “Rising Through the Ranks” Seminar from August 15-16 at BMI’s Nashville office.


As in years past, BMI will offer 20 scholarships for this year’s program. These scholarships cover the cost of the professional development course which is designed to foster and educate current and emerging female radio managers within broadcast radio.

The final day to submit applications for the 2018 program is Wednesday, June 6.

Sessions at this year’s seminar will include, among others:
• The Role of Today’s Radio Manager
• Managing Up and Down
• Having Difficult Conversations
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Recruiting, Hiring, and Firing
• Women in the Radio Workplace
• Building Your Personal Brand

Scholarship winners will also have the opportunity to hear from leading radio industry executives across various station groups and industry backgrounds. Featured speakers include Hartley Adkins, President of Integrated Revenue Strategy at iHeartMedia; Xperi SVP/Broadcast Radio Joe D’Angelo; Brandovation President/COO Val Maki; and Hubbard Broadcasting chairperson and CEO Ginny Morris; among others.

Scholarship recipients will be notified of their selection by Wednesday, June 27.
