Dial GlobalDial Global will air exclusive coverage of the Second Annual Carrier Classic—featuring a doubleheader–on Friday, 11/9.  Last year’s game was played between North Carolina and Michigan State on the USS Carl Vinson. This year’s showdown will play out aboard the flight deck of the USS Yorktown in Charleston, SC.  Presented in partnership with Morale Entertainment, the 2012 Carrier Classic will feature a Women’s game between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Ohio State Buckeyes, followed by a Men’s game featuring the Ohio State Buckeyes taking on the Marquette Golden Eagles.  The twinbill will tip off Dial Global Sports’ NCAA Basketball coverage of the 2012-2013 regular season.

The Carrier Classic is a unique event honoring the U.S. Military, past and present.  Proceeds benefit veteran’s charities, including the Wounded Warrior Project. Kevin Kugler, Bill Frieder and Jim Gray will call the Men’s game and John Tautges and Debbie Antonelli will be behind the mics for the Women’s game.  Both games will be heard on radio stations nationwide, as well as on Sirius/XM satellite radio and streaming online at www.dialglobalsports.com.

Dial Global’s presentation of the 2012 Carrier Classic will also be heard on American Forces Radio Network, which provides programming to America’s military forces around the globe. The American Forces Radio Network serves more than one million men and women in uniform, Department of Defense personnel, American embassies, and consulates in over 175 countries and territories–as well as on more than 250 U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and Military Sealift Command ships at sea.

Beginning 11/9 and continuing through Sunday, 3/9/13, Dial Global Sports will present a slate of 21 regular-season NCAA Basketball broadcasts, including key matchups such as defending champion Kentucky against SEC opponents Missouri and Florida, North Carolina vs. Duke, Louisville vs. Syracuse and Michigan vs. Indiana.  Dial Global Sports will also broadcast the annual Preseason NIT Tournament from Madison Square Garden in New York City. Dial Global Sports will also present an action-packed, full post-season NCAA Basketball schedule, including exclusive coverage of the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments and the Final Fours.
