AT&T certainly has its challenges at the moment with its DirecTV and DirecTV NOW TV services platforms.
The absence of new retransmission consent agreements with CBS Corporation and Nexstar Media Group have resulted in the “blackout” of CBS O&Os and affiliate stations in some 56 DMAs.
Yet, that did little to slow the telecommunications giant in Q2, with earnings in line with consensus estimates. This sent AT&T shares climbing in Wednesday afternoon trading on Wall Street.
