DIY Network takes the “how-to” notion to the extreme with the premiere of the new series, Project Xtreme in a sneak peek debut on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 9:30 p.m. ET Beginning October 1, Project Xtreme airs Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Each episode features licensed contractor Jason Cameron (Desperate Landscapes, Man Caves) as he tests his skills and know-how to tackle enormous projects around New York City. From scaling the Queensboro Bridge during rush hour traffic for the largest painting project ever in the U.S.; enduring gale-force winds to change light bulbs on top of the Empire State Building; to a never-before-seen journey under the streets of New York City to splice 12,000 volt power lines with Con Edison workers, Project Xtreme takes do-it-yourself to the next level.

These are big projects with serious tools that put people in life-threatening danger. What’s it like for the men and women that work on these kinds of projects?
