Eric Jorgenson’s Sea-Comm Inc. has closed on its acquisition of WSFM-FM Oak Island NC from Sunrise Broadcasting, a subsidiary of Jim Goodmon’s Capitol Broadcasting Company. Capitol’s divestiture will allow it to reel back a Jacksonville NC station out of a trust. Sea-Comm has another deal in the market as well. The action is in the Wilmington NC Arbitron market.

The value of the WSFM deal is $825K. It’s arrival at the finish line was reported by Patrick Communications broker John Cunney.

Jorgenson has a cash/swap deal with Carolina Christian Radio sending WUIN-FM Carolina Beach to CCR in exchange for WMYT-AM, licensed to the same community. Along with WMYT-AM, WSFM will be in a cluster with WBNE-FM Wrightsville Beach, WLTT-FM Bolivia, and WNTB-FM Topsail Beach.

Goodmon’s company will be reclaiming WLGD-FM Jacksonville NC, which has implications in the Wilmington market while having a city of license that places it squarely in the Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville NC market.
