SoldA pair of radio deals in the western region of the United States has gone from pending to completed. One involves a large market AM, the other a small market FM.


The deal sending KIDR-AM Phoenix AZ from Force Broadcasting to En Familia Inc. has reached the finish line. According to broker Jody McCoy of Media Services Group, the price was $1.85M.

The station belonged to Multicultural Broadcasting at one time – the seller, headed by Harold Gore, will enjoy a $350K increase in the price it paid for the station back in 2009.

Meanwhile, Rich Broadcasting has taken the keys to KOUW-FM in Island Park ID, which it acquired from Chaparral Communications. McCoy, who also had a hand in the Idaho deal also had the price: $350K.

KOUW will be associated with Jackson WY stations begin acquired by Rich – in fact, the KOUW purchase is part of a larger deal involving four additional Jackson stations and three in Sun Valley ID, with a total value of $3.7M.
