Emmis CommunicationsKaspar Broadcasting is selling its FM translator W298BB 107.5 mHz to Emmis Radio License, LLC for $375,000, reports The Indianapolis Star. The translator will air WIBC-FM (news/talk 93.1), but reportedly it may choose to air WFNI (1070 The Fan AM) instead, via WIBC’s HD-2 simulcast of the station. Both stations are from Indianapolis. The translator is 250 Watts at 45 feet. Zionsville is 25 miles NW of downtown Indianapolis. With the flat terrain in the area, W298BB covers a good chunk of the market. Kaspar also owns AC 50-kW WSHW-FM, or Shine 99, out of Frankfort, IN.
