The NBA Indiana Pacers and Emmis Communications announced that they have entered into a new long-term agreement for radio broadcasts of all Pacers games. Under the new agreement, Pacers broadcasts will move to WIBC-FM Indianapolis, 93.1 FM, from WFNI-AM “1070 The Fan.”
The new agreement also includes the Indiana Fever of the WNBA. Their games will air on WFNI-AM.
“We are very pleased and grateful that our relationship with Emmis is entering a new chapter,” said Pacers Sports & Entertainment President Jim Morris. “This relationship has special meaning for us because Emmis was an original partner in building Conseco Fieldhouse. Like us, they are a hometown company that shares our commitment to be an active partner in community life. They have been and will continue to be one of our finest business partners,” he added.
The upcoming year will mark the 15th season Pacers games have been on Emmis stations. Play-by-play announcer Mark Boyle will return for his 23rd season. He will be joined again by Indiana legend Bob (Slick) Leonard, who will offer game analysis for his 26th year.
Pacers games also will continue to be carried on the Pacers Radio Network through Network Indiana.

The extension of our relationship with the Indiana Pacers is a foundational element of Emmis’ position as the local sports leader in Indianapolis,” said Charlie Morgan, Vice President/Market Manager for Emmis-Indianapolis.
