Entravision Joins The Pack With Its Own Streaming App

From iHeartRadio to Radio.com, Uforia, Radiopup and TuneIn, there are certainly a lot of apps available to U.S. consumers who desire streaming audio tied to their favorite terrestrial radio stations.

Add another selection to the mix, as Hispanic consumer-focused Entravision Communications has just rolled out its own app, which houses not only streams of its terrestrial radio stations but also live chat capabilities, podcasts, playlists and social media channels — starting in 2021.

The app is called El Botón, literally “The Button.”

While the mobile app containing all of the interactive offerings isn’t due until early next year, Elboton.com is now up and running as a desktop aggregation source for all Entravision radio stations, numbering 34.

Among the shows heard across Entravision stations are el Show de Piolín, The Shoboy Show and El Flaco y Su Pandilla, in addition to arguably the most popular Spanish-language radio program in the U.S., Erazno y la Chokolata.

Entravision’s Chief Digital, Strategy and Accountability Officer, Juan Salvidar, is overseeing the launch of El Botón, alongside Entravision GM/U.S. Digital Jessica Martinez.

In celebration of the launch of El Botón, now through December 3 listeners can win $500 through a special “Artist of the Day” cross promotion on elboton.com and El Show de Alex “El Genio” Lucas. How does it work? Find the “Artist of the Day” posted daily on elboton.com, then listen to Alex “El Genio” Lucas each morning. When Alex “El Genio” Lucas plays one of that artist’s songs on his program, caller No. 10 instantly wins the prize.
