Entravision has secured the rights to syndicate the popular Spanish-language morning show “El Vacilón del Mandril.” It currently airs on Entravision’s La Tricolor-formatted Regional Mexican stations in nine markets and on two Spanish Broadcasting System stations. It will be sold on a network basis exclusively by Entravision’s LER Network. El Vacilón del Mandril’s flagship is SBS’s KLAX-FM (La Raza) Los Angeles.
“El Vacilón del Mandril,” began airing on Entravision’s radio stations in January and can be heard Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PT. Featuring veteran Hispanic radio personality/jokester Ricardo Sanchez, better known as “El Mandril” (the Baboon), the show offers wisecracks, hit music, legal advice, sports, news, astrology and interviews to the most renown Latin artists. The program includes live call-ins from listeners in desperate situations where Mandril can exercise his charitable spirit helping his audience.
