‘Errors of Fact’ The Focus Of MMTC Calls To FCC


The review of the Commission’s Broadcast and Cable Equal Employment Opportunity rules and policies, in particular the elimination of radio and TV stations’ obligation to file Form 397 — the FCC’s Broadcast Mid-Term Report — is a very big topic of interest for the Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council.

How important is the subject? The MMTC’s top two leaders on Jan. 30 and 31 had calls with FCC Chairman Ajit Pai and a Commissioner to review what it considers to be “errors of fact, policy and law” in Paragraph 10 of a Jan. 3, 2019 “White Copy.”
