LBI Media, the Burbank, Calif.-based broadcasting company targeting Spanish-speaking audiences, has inked a deal that puts its specialty cable TV channel on Charter Communications‘ Spectrum systems in two key markets.
Effective Thursday (10/18), LBI’s Estrella Dos channel is now available on Spectrum lineups in Los Angeles and in the Dallas-Fort Worth markets.
This brings Estrella Dos to approximately 2 million subscribers.
The channel is the MVPD-distributed sibling of the broadcast TV network Estrella TV.
Estrella Dos offers LBI Media’s “classic” programming, including second-run programs such as “Reto Famosos,” “Divorcio USA,” “Lagrimita y Costel “ and “Que Jalada.”
In Los Angeles the channel number for old Time Warner systems is 1295, and 208 on Charter Spectrum systems.
In Dallas-Fort Worth, the channel number is 1292 for Time Warner systems, and 205 for Charter Spectrum.
“Making our classic programming content available to over two million new homes on Charter/Spectrum is a major feat for our company, as we continue to expand our distribution efforts in key DMA’s across the U.S.,” said Cathy Lewis Edgerton, SVP of distribution and affiliate sales for LBI Media.
LBI Media is also the company behind Liberman Broadcasting, which operates Spanish-language radio stations in Dallas, Houston and its home market of L.A.
