Fueling rumors that changes are ahead at Cox Media Group, the woman who has been Director of Sales at the company’s San Antonio radio stations has departed after six years in the Alamo City.
Effective Jan. 28. she’ll now be in a similar role, in a bigger market, for Entercom.
In 11 days, Mary Rogers will be motoring up I-35 to take the role of VP/Director of Sales for Entercom’s Dallas-Fort Worth station group. In this role, Rogers will oversee sales efforts for Adult Hits KJKK-FM “100.3 JACK FM,” Sports KRLD-FM 105.3 “The Fan,” Classic Hits KLUV-FM 98.7, Alternative KVIL-FM “ALT 103.7,” regional Mexican KMVK-FM “La Grande 107.5” and News/Talk KRLD-AM 1080.
“Mary is a well-respected executive with remarkable experience and we are looking forward to welcoming her to Dallas,” said Brian Purdy, Entercom/Dallas SVP/Market Manager. “I am confident she will lead the sales team to sustained revenue growth in 2019 and beyond.”
Rogers added, “I am excited to join Entercom Dallas, working alongside Brian Purdy and his amazing team. I began my career in Dallas, and it is a great feeling to be back working with these iconic brands and audiences.”
Rogers did not elaborate on her prior work in Big D. Earlier in her career, before joining the radio industry, she was based in Colorado Springs. From 2000-2002 Rogers was Director of Marketing for Tulsa-based Triad Eye Medical Clinic. It was in Tulsa, in November 2002, that she entered the radio business, as an Account Manager for Cox Media Group’s stations in the market.
From April 2011-November 2012, she shifted to Tampa, where she served as GSM for WWRM-FM “Warm” and WXGL-FM “Eagle.” Rogers then migrated to San Antonio for a six-year stint.
