With the news that the U.S. Supreme Court will hear FCC v. Prometheus and National Assn. of Broadcasters, et. al. v Prometheus Radio Project, et. al. as a consolidated case with Docket No. 19-1231, all eyes are on a group of attorneys who will get one hour to make their arguments in front of the justices of the highest court in the land.
Meanwhile, one of the FCC’s two Democrats has offered an informal comment on the decision — one that could involve the successor to the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg. At the same time, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai was quick to comment on Twitter before issuing a formal statement. The two other Republicans on the FCC also issued statements cheering the court’s decision to hear their appeal.
