Well, not everybody will be collecting fees, but the FCC will as part of a deal for an eastern Texas AM station.
The station is KSET-AM Lumberton, serving the Beaumont-Port Arthur market.
The seller is Proctor Williams Inc., headed by President William Hill.
The buyer is Southeast Texas Telecom LLC, headed by Christopher W. Boone.
The price is $100.
As for the fee part, it’s unspecified but was mentioned in conjunction with the purchase price. To wit, the buyer will also pay overdue regulatory fees owed to the FCC.
KSET-AM is a Class B on 1300 kHz with 2 kW-D, 270 W-N, DA2.
