Backyard Broadcasting’s exit from the Jackson MS market involved the sale of two of its FMs and the spin-off of an AM from one of Backyard’s buyers. We now finally have the pricetag in for the most expensive station of the three. New South Radio will pay $3.8M cash to acquire WWJK-FM from Backyard. Brokerage firm Kalil & Co. will hold a $380K escrow payment. The station will join four already held by New South in the market: WIIN-AM, WYOY-FM, WJKK-FM & WUSJ-FM.
