FORT MYERS, FLA. — To listeners of a Beasley Media Group Top 40 station in its home market, he was known as morning show ringleader “Big Mama.” To the Lee County Florida School Board, he was candidate Jason Jones.
Today, Jones is now likely determining what the next chapter in his professional life will feature. After permanently departing WXKB “B103.9” earlier this month after stepping aside in June to avoid any equal time requirements the FCC enforces, Jones has lost his bid for a school board seat.
