Fox announced creation of its own awards show for Country music, with the first American Country Awards to air December 6th. The award winners will be selected 100% by fan voting.
As you would expect, the show will air live from the Capital of Country Music… No, wait, it’s going to be live from Las Vegas. Go figure.
The two-hour telecast will be executive-produced by Bob Bain, who is already executive producer of the Teen Choice Awards, also on Fox.
RBR-TVBR observation: Whoop-tee-doo, just what the world needs – yet another Country awards show. The Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards on CBS, the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards on ABC and the CMT Music Awards on CMT apparently aren’t enough.
