FOX w/ 'HOUSE' and 'Lone Star' do well Monday

FOX aired originals of HOUSE and LONE STAR last night: HOUSE: Week two of HOUSE posted a 3.8 and was the highest rated drama of the night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, outperforming ABC’s Castle, CBS’ Hawaii Five-O and NBC’s Chuck, The Event and Chase.   Compared to last week’s premiere HOUSE was down -10% but still ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-34. 


LONE STAR:  The second telecast of LONE STAR began at 9:03p and did a 1.0 among Adults 18-49, down -23% from its debut last week

Competition – regular, preliminary Fast Nationals from Nielsen Due to NFL coverage airing on regional ABC affiliates, Fast Nationals for the network are likely inflated. ABC’s Dancing With The Stars (4.8/12) was down from last week’s performance premiere (5.1/13). Castle followed with a 3.2/8 at 10p.

On CBS, How I Met Your Mother (3.8/11), Rules of Engagement (3.2/8), and Two and a Half Men (4.8/12) were in line with their premiere numbers.  At 930p, Mike and Molly posted a 3.7/9, down two-tenths from its debut last week (3.9/10) and -23% from its Two and a Half Men lead-in.  Compared to the same week last year, Mike and Molly dropped -30% from The Big Bang Theory in the time period (5.3/13 on 9/28/09). At 10p, Hawaii Five-O (3.5/9) was down -10% from its premiere last week (3.9/11) and -17% from the time period’s comparable week last year (4.2/11 for CSI: Miami, 9/28/09).

On NBC, Chuck (1.9/5) was down a tenth from its premiere last week (2.0/6). Week two of The Event delivered a 2.9/7 at 9p, down -19% from its series premiere a week ago (3.6/9). At 10p, Chase posted a 2.1/5, also down from last week’s series debut (-9% vs. 2.3/6).

Ratings for FOX based on Nielsen’s Time-Zone adjusted Fast Nationals.  HOUSE aired 8-9:03p and LONE STAR aired 9:03-10p.  Demo shares not available from Nielsen.
