Fox's 'The X Factor' has a solid night Tuesday

The first X FACTOR live performance show gave FOX a victory last night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens and posted the highest rated Tuesday on any network so far this season in the core adult demo.


THE X FACTOR: 4.3/10, up +10% vs. last Tuesday — its highest Adults 18-49 rating since its debut on 9/21/11 (and will likely go up to a least a 4.4 in the finals to tie/surpass the series premiere)

THE X FACTOR grew +36% from its first half-hour to its last (A18-49 half-hours): 3.6 > 4.1 > 4.4 > 4.4 > 4.9

THE X FACTOR was the No. 1 program of the night in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

Last night’s telecast was up +13% in Total Viewers vs. last Tuesday

Competition

At 8p, new ABC comedy Last Man Standing fell -10% to a 2.8/8 in its third week.  Week two of new comedy Man Up! (1.9/5) dropped -21% from last week’s debut (2.4/6) and -32% from its Last Man Standing lead-in. At 9p, Dancing With The Stars Results (2.5/6, down -4%) delivered its lowest rated fall telecast ever (excluding specials). Body of Proof (1.9/5, flat) finished the night about average at 10p.
 
CBS aired NCIS (4.0/11, up +3%), NCIS: Los Angeles (3.7/9, up +9%) and Unforgettable (2.5/7, flat).

NBC’s The Biggest Loser (1.9/5, flat) matched its lowest rating this fall and up to this point is off to the franchise’s worst start ever, down -19% from its previous lowest installment through six telecasts (2.1/5 vs. 2.6/7 last fall). A repeat of Prime Suspect (1.0/3) closed out the night at 10p.
