Goldstein Locked as iHeart’s Keystone State Pilot

Two weeks ago, word first surfaced about major staffing changes at iHeartMedia. Many on-air personalities and programming pros lost their jobs. At the same, three senior programmers were promoted to Division Executive Vice Presidents of Programming for iHeartRadio’s National Programming Group, including a six-year Regional SVP/Programming for iHeartMedia’s Allentown/Harrisburg Region.

Now, iHeartMedia has solidified its overall leadership and programming captain for all of its properties across the Keystone State.

Effective Monday (1/27), Brit Goldstein is now Area President for iHeartMedia Pennsylvania. He rises from a similar role for iHeart’s Wilmington, Del., and Delmarva Peninsula properties, which he’s held since July 2017. He joined iHeart predecessor Clear Channel in May 2005, as Philadelphia Sales Manager. Goldstein then shifted to New York, where he was Director of Revenue Management from 2009 until August 2014.

Nick Mickley

At the same time, Nick Mickley has been named Market President of iHeartMedia Harrisburg, Reading and Lancaster; and Dave Hovel has been named Area Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Pennsylvania.

The moves come following the promotion earlier this month of Jeff Hurley to EVP/Programming, in Pennsylvania. Hurley joined iHeartMedia in 2004 as the Program Director for WHKF-FM in Harrisburg and later worked as a Program Director, Operations Manager and on-air personality for brands in the region.

As Area President, Goldstein will create new business and revenue opportunities, overseeing all programming, business and sales teams for iHeartMedia Pennsylvania, Delaware and the Eastern Shore stations. He will report to Shosh Abromovich, Division President for iHeartMedia.

“It is such an honor to serve the Pennsylvania local communities and partner with our local businesses and organizations,” said Goldstein. “I am humbled by the opportunity and cannot wait to accomplish great things with Nick Mickley, Dave Hovel and the rest of our best in class iHeartMedia teams across the region.”

As Market President, Mickley will work closely with the programming, business and sales teams for the Harrisburg, Reading and Lancaster markets. He most recently served as senior vice president of sales for iHeartMedia Pennsylvania and has also previously served as the general sales manager for iHeartMedia Harrisburg.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to be associated with these great brands and to be able to serve as Market President for the exceptional teams in Harrisburg, Reading and Lancaster,” said Mickley. “I’m excited to be a part of the continued development and growth of these markets and iHeartMedia.”

Hovel previously served as the SVP/Programming for the Wilmington and Delmarva stations, based in Salisbury, Md. In his new role, Hovel will oversee all on-air content as well as music and digital programming operations for the Salisbury, Wilmington, Allentown, Harrisburg, Erie, Reading, Lancaster, and Williamsport markets. He will report to Mickley.
