“A renewal and expansion agreement” is now in place that will see Gray Television use Comscore measurement services “for the vast majority of its market footprint.”

That accounts for approximately 19% of all U.S. television households, and sees Comscore services added to Gray-owned stations in Memphis; Waco, Tex.; Juneau, Ak.; and West Palm Beach to the roster.

Gray completed its purchase of the NBC affiliate in Juneau on July 31. In Waco, Gray owns KWTX-10 and KNCT-46, affiliates of CBS and The CW Network, respectively. WMC-5 in Memphis joined the Gray family through the Raycom Media merger in 2019.

For South Florida, Gray owns WFLX-29, the FOX affiliate serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. However, The E.W. Scripps Co. operates it via a Shared Services Agreement, with newscasts produced by NBC giant WPTV-5.

“Comscore is delighted to renew and expand our long and successful partnership with Gray Television,” said Comcast EVP Steve Walsh. “We look forward to continuing to help drive their stations’ revenue and profit.”
