Redlasso (www.redlasso.com) announced that Greater Media is the first client for its Air2Web service, an on-line platform that allows radio stations to search, clip, and upload its content to its own web site and to allow that content to be shared online.
Air2Web enables radio stations to further monetize and extend the life of their content by virally spreading show sound bites or interviews online, drawing attention to their programming, while maintain control of its usage. Using this platform, radio stations can clip and supply station selected sound bites or interviews to their listeners on their own custom online player or post segments to their talent or show’s MySpace pages.
WMMR-FM Philadelphia’s Preston and Steve Show will use Air2Web for its new online The High Five section (http://wmmr.redlasso.com). The High Five will feature the top five bits of the day, including; interviews, studio guests, stunts and more. Listeners will be able to come to the WMMR website and search an archive of the bits, and pass them around the web.
