Gulf Coast FM sold

WOCY-FM is licensed to Carrabelle FL, a community near the Gulf of Mexico to the southwest of Tallahassee and the southeast of Panama City. It is being sold to a religious broadcaster with an AM station in the Florida capital.


The seller is 3G Broadcasting Inc., headed by Bonnie Gomes.

The buyer is Live Communications Inc., headed by Reverend R.B. Holmes Jr.

The price is $250K, 80% of which will be paid over time via a promissory note. The contract also calls for a $5K deposit and a $45K cash payment at closing.

The station is currently known as Hitz 106 – it’s a Class C1 on 106.5 MHz with 100 kW @ 482’.

Holmes’ other station is WTAL-AM Tallahassee, a religious outlet on 1450 kHz.
