Hazen Brings More ‘Shine’ To Buckeye State

In May 2015, the Rev. Denny Hazen passed away, leaving behind his wife, Marge.

Both were widely known across Northeast Ohio for their long-running broadcast ministry, which saw the launch of a TV program and ownership of radio stations.

Now, one of those FMs is being spun.

WJEE-FM 90.1 in Bolivar, Ohio, a 2.3kw Class A with coverage of towns due south of Canton, is being spun to Soaring Eagle Promotions.

That’s the business behind Shine FM Ohio — a network of Christian Contemporary non-commercial stations heard in such cities as Bellefontaine, Tiffon and Mansfield, Ohio.

Adding WJEE sees Soaring Eagle pay $50,000 to Denny and Marge Hazen Ministries Inc.

A 10% deposit has already been made by the buyer.

Shine FM is led by Mark Boyer, the founder and GM.
