It’s here: Local television market universe estimates for the 2018-19 broadcast year are now official. What’s newsworthy?

Boise, Idaho rounds out the Top 100 DMAs, while Wichita and Spokane just miss out on a Top 75 ranking. Meanwhile, a resurgent Buffalo remains outside of the Top 50 markets.

While it is no surprise, the New York DMA is No. 1 by a considerable margin over No. 2 Los Angeles, with 7.1 million TV homes accounting for 6.44% of the U.S.

L.A. is represented by 5.28 million TV homes across its vast geographic area, accounting for 4.786% of the U.S.

Overall, the rankers aren’t so surprising, with Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville at No. 25 and Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne ranking No. 18.

At No. 50 is New Orleans, with Memphis and Buffalo just behind at No. 51 and No. 52.

The No. 75 slot goes to the home of Meredith Corp. — Des Moines.

And, at No. 100 is Boise, right behind No. 99 South Bend-Elkhart, Ind.
