Here’s When Netflix Reveals its Q4 Results

It is far and away the most valuable content company in the world. And, its executive team led by Reed Hastings has decided to drop its fourth quarter 2021 fiscal report card on the same day as the Matrix Solutions Media Ad Sales Summit — also the concluding day of NATPE Miami at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach.

Netflix Inc. will post its fourth quarter 2021 financial results and business outlook on its investor relations website after the Closing Bell at Nasdaq rings on Thursday, January 20.

As is typical for Netflix, the company will issue a brief advisory release via newswire containing a link to the Q4 2021 financial results and letter to shareholders on its website.

There is no press release with any prepared comments or analysis from co-CEO Reed Hastings, co-CEO & Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos, Chief Financial Officer Spence Neumann, COO & Chief Product Officer Greg Peters or VP, IR & Corporate Development Spencer Wang.

Instead, Netflix’s C-Suite leaders will again participate in a video interview moderated by Nidhi Gupta, of Fidelity Management & Research Co. As such, there is no earnings conference call, nor any Q&A session with analysts to be had — again.

In fact, Netflix takes a page from radio broadcasting companies that have opted to answer questions submitted via email.

Questions from investors should be submitted as well in advance as possible for inclusion to [email protected].

The video interview can be accessed on the Netflix Investor Relations YouTube channel.

Netflix shares are presently trading at $589, as of midday Wednesday. That’s down from $691, seen on November 17, but is up from $497.98 in early January 2021.
