Hill Voices Want Hearst Station To Stay On Xfinity Lineup

As RBR+TVBR first reported on November 23, Hearst Television stations serving communities tied to a “neighboring DMA” are being removed from Comcast’Xfinity lineups as part of a cost-cutting effort designed to lower the amount of retransmission consent fees the MVPD giant that owns NBCUniversal it has to pay the broadcast TV station owner.

That’s not sitting well with the two U.S. Senators representing the state of Massachusetts, or two Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. They want the Boston ABC affiliate kept on Xfinity’s channel lineup in one key Bay State locale.
