Honda ships first HD-equipped vehicles

HD RadioThe 2014 Odyssey from Honda arrives at dealers today 7/2/13, and its Touring Elite version offers factory-installed high-definition radio. But it won’t be without competition – Pandora and Sirius XM are also in the mix.


Nonetheless, HD radio proponent iBiquity was pleased to add Honda on to its roster of participating vehicle manufacturers.

The HD offering in the upper-end Odyssey models is part of an audio package that includes a surround-sound speakers in a 650 Watt system.

According to iBiquity, HD radio is now available factory-installed from the following manufacturers: Acura, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI USA, Mitsubishi, Porsche, Ram, Rolls-Royce, Scion, SRT (Chrysler), Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.
